ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Strategy & Portfolio Management Specialist will serve as a critical team member within the Strategic Services team, responsible for overseeing the governance, communications, and planning efforts across our strategic project portfolio. Unlike a traditional project manager assigned to a single initiative, this role will provide portfolio-level oversight and cross-functional coordination to ensure strategic alignment, consistency, and transparency across all major initiatives.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape how we plan, communicate, and execute on strategy across Technology.
Roles & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the CDT strategy by managing and refining the unified strategy processes, working closely with senior professionals across multiple teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Governance & Oversight
Lead and manage portfolio governance processes, including planning and facilitating monthly portfolio meetings.
Ensure accurate and timely capture and reporting of project statuses and key metrics.
Develop, standardize, and maintain core project management templates (e.g., project charter, RAID logs, project status dashboards).
Promote consistency and best practices across project teams in the use of governance tools.
Strategic Communications
Manage all project- and portfolio-related communications including reporting, stakeholder updates, and executive summaries.
Coordinate and streamline messaging across functions to ensure visibility and alignment.
PI Planning Coordination
Support and enhance the internal PI (Program Increment) planning process on a quarterly basis.
Collaborate cross-functionally to unify planning efforts, ensuring shared goals, milestones, and outputs.
Act as a liaison between Shared Services strategy leads and execution teams to ensure initiatives are well-aligned and progressing.
Partner with key stakeholders to evolve planning practices and governance frameworks over time.

Basic qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of relevant experience
Must-Have Skills (Not more than 3 to 4):
Demonstrated ability to manage strategy-level portfolio operations, including governance, reporting, and strategic communications
Strong communication and facilitation skills with an ability to influence across functions and levels
Proven track record in driving alignment and visibility across a portfolio of programs or initiatives
Ability to work independently to determine approach and meet operational and project objectives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving defined objectives.
Good-to-Have Skills:
SAFe experience
Smartsheets experience
Miro experience
Organizational Change Management (OCM) experience
Professional Certifications (please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role):
Agile Certified Practitioner - preferred
Certified Project Manager - preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
