Patient Access Brand Technology Lead, Senior Manager
What you will do

In this vital role you will serve as a technology liaison between business stakeholders and the technology implementation team to lead CRM strategy and execution. The Brand Technology team is part of the Patient Access & Reimbursement (PAR) organization and is responsible for leading a portfolio of technology improvement requests from business partners across PAR. This role requires a dynamic and innovative problem solver committed to delivering brand-new capabilities to support Patient Support Programs. The Patient Access Brand Technology Lead is responsible for comprehending brand strategies related to Patient Access and providing ongoing education to PAR partners on emerging technology to inform and develop future state roadmaps.
As a business technology leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological future, improving user experiences, and ensuring efficient business operations. This multifaceted position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of technology’s role in achieving business goals.
Position operates within a complex environment, and the ideal candidate will possess the ability to take initiative, problem-solve, work collaboratively across multiple workstreams and exercise appropriate business judgment. Essential activities include activating technology teams internal and external to Amgen to deliver advancements to the PAR technology ecosystem. The PAR Brand technology team is also responsible for detecting opportunities for continuous improvement within existing patient support programs including both process and system changes. Interaction and strong communication with cross-functional teams is crucial.
Patient Services CRM Implementation
- Engage in continuous discussions with key stakeholders across US Commercial Business Operations teams to define requirements and implement the long-term CRM vision and digital strategy
- Translate desired business outcomes into a cohesive CRM roadmap aligned with enterprise priorities
- Influence enterprise technology strategy at the intersection of digital innovation and patient care
Change Leadership & User Enablement
- Champion and influence organizational change through daily behavior and in the implementation of business needs within technical solutions to support those needs
- Define a user-centric approach that empowers PAR staff to maximize productivity within technology tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless, intuitive, and customer focused experiences
- Ensure data and process compatibility while minimizing disruption to day-to-day business operations
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
- Identify opportunities to automate redundant business processes with Artificial Intelligence and workflow automation
Strategic Advisory & Road Mapping
- Plan and oversee a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion, including cross functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to balance short-term and long-term objectives
- Lead the creation of brand specific technology roadmaps to support strategic needs of the Patient Access & Reimbursement organization
- Work effectively across business stakeholders, various IT teams & vendor partners to effectively communicate business strategies related to technology for assigned Brands
- Understand and evolve capabilities across PAR’s technology ecosystem
- Partner with IT to thoroughly explain business needs and enable the IT product team to develop detailed technical requirements & design options
- Review and approval of high-level business user requirements that are outlined via epics
Business Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison of the business with Global Commercial Operations Digital Technology Innovation & Global Customer Capabilities teams to translate, negotiate and influence business needs into system solutions
- Partner with key vendor partners to advance technology capabilities as part of PAR suite of services that support patients & healthcare professionals
- Manage prioritization of business capabilities within the brand tech portfolio
- Lead and guide direct staff & contractors on how to effectively elicit business requirements to accurately depict business problems statement and business goals

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of business process analysis, brand technology, and/or patient services
OR
Master’s degree and 4 years of business process analysis, brand technology, and/or patient services
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of business process analysis, brand technology, and/or patient services
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of business process analysis, brand technology, and/or patient services
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of business process analysis, brand technology, and/or patient services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, specifically US Patient Services
- Excellent project and portfolio management skills
- Proficiency in business process analysis and optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and motivate change within the organization
- Strong understanding of user experience principles
- Experience working with integrated technologies across multiple teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivates and leads a project from inception to completion
- Expertise in technology consulting & digital transformation within life sciences
- Experience with Salesforce CRM platforms (Life Science Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
- Executive navigation and presentation skills are a plus

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
