Supply Chain Manager
What you will do

Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable Amgen’s accelerated product commercialization. The DSC organization manages all aspects of demand and supply planning, scheduling and materials/sourcing management activities in all phases of preclinical, clinical, and commercial development. As an integral part of the Process Development organization, DSC provides an innovation ecosystem to advance differentiating multi-modality capabilities and gain insight in development and a regulated environment in support of product and process development. Demonstrating our tech transfer and manufacturing capabilities, DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgen’s innovative products and biosimilars. We currently have an opportunity in the DSC Site Supply Chain group for a Manager, Supply Chain. The DSC Site Supply Chain organization is seeking a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for supply chain activities. This individual will manage and coordinate supply chain activities in accordance with GMP standards, on time within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
Direct supply chain operations for supply planning/scheduling, master data management, and inventory management in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures
Develop production scenarios and capacity models to support operations and forward-looking strategic initiatives
Understand MRP planning (preferably Rapid Response and SAP)
Maintain documentation and serve as the SME on data structure definitions, data flows, access rights models for planning systems
Manage, maintain, and optimize business processes, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of SAP and Rapid Response data structure setup
Shepherd projects, ensuring seamless data flow between systems and platforms and organizations
Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify and resolve complex system governance issues and operational challenges
Represent the Thousand Oaks site on global networks as a subject matter expert for site or function
Monitor and analyze success of planning system structure setup criteria, implementing continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Present recommendations to Senior Management and drive decisions
Manage a high-volume portfolio of programs simultaneously while consistently delivering high quality results
Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify and resolve complex planning system issues and operational challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to work on business processes such as change control, deviation support, and troubleshooting process issues

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Master's Degree & 2 year of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience OR
Bachelor's Degree & 4 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience OR
Associate degree & 8 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience OR
High school diploma/GED & 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
Degree in Business, Science, Mathematics or Engineering
Demonstrate understanding of drug development, commercialization and operations planning
Demonstrate understanding of manufacturing, supply chain fundamentals and risk management
Demonstrates proficiency in SAP MRP and Rapid Response planning tools including both a business and technical understanding of the implications of decisions
Proven experience working on cross-functional process governance with a data orientation
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners
Strong ability to coordinate, manage, and drive initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulations
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on optimizing processes and aligning business activities
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to drive decisions
Proficient in demonstrating MS Office, project management tools, and visualization tools to track and manage tasks, dependencies, risks, etc.
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.
Exhibit ability to maintain confidentiality.
Capable of operating under pressure situations

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
