What you will do
The “ Compliance Associate Manager – Taiwan” will report solid line to Head of Legal and Compliance –Taiwan and dotted line to regional Executive Director JAPAC Compliance within compliance organization (WC&BE). This role is based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Support the effective oversight of country compliance objectives in line with the Company’s compliance strategies.
Advise on basic compliance inquiries related to applicable policies, procedures and industry code.
Assist the implementation of corporate compliance programs in the country.
Support the business process consistency with Company’s policy requirements and improving operational efficiency in line with the Company’s strategies.
Compliance training and culture building: (1) translate global training materials, facilitate/support face-to-face or virtual compliance training/case studies/workshop to employees, and keep log of all compliance trainings; (2) support the cascading of compliance messages.
Compliance policy /procedure/ guidance: (1) translate global policy documents and modify/update local country policy and industry code requirements (2) help the timely update of/training on such new policies (3) support the implementation of International Healthcare Compliance procedures and training (C3 system).
Support projects for the compliance process optimization and interfacing to C3 system and develop/maintain compliance enablers (e.g. checklist and compliance process map)
Coordinate local compliance forum (preparing presentation slides, taking minutes, tracking of attendance and follow-up actions etc.).
Execute Due Diligence process in the Compliance Desktop.
Corporate audit support, including being local point of contact for the audit team, coordinating data collection.
Self-assessment/monitoring activities: (1) provide support in conducting self-testing activities (e.g. HCP sponsorships, samples, fee for service payments) and report-out with the key findings; (2) assist with follow up action to data analysis or spend reviews recommended by compliance officer
Assist Country General Manager together with Head of Legal and Compliance in implementing annual compliance engagement plan and support all the documentation process.
Support innovative business initiatives, like Patient Program/Customer Centricity/Social media Programs, and similar major initiatives. Assist the business RAEs to ensure that new programs/initiatives are submitted to the applicable Review Board.
Third party anti-corruption and anti-bribery due diligence: support compliance officer and business team to develop basic due diligence process for local market and help the business to ensure that necessary due diligence conducted in critical and high risk tier of activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Education to Bachelor degree level
Native level fluency in Mandarin Chinese and fluency in English
Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills
Minimum 4 years of working experience
High degree of ethics and integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated basic knowledge of pharma industry and understanding of business objectives.
Prior experience as compliance/paralegal/internal control/risk management/audit specialist.
Knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations and company policies.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to collaborate and fit-in well as a team member, as well as to work independently.
Basic project management skills.
Willingness to learn and to be developed.
Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
