The Finance Manager at Amgen will oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, the preparation of budgets, and the tracking of financial status and performance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic planning processes across departments to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Will be responsible for leading planning process (Long range plan, yearly plan and quarterly forecast) and prepare relevant deck ensuring high quality materials
- Identify planning risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business continuity
- Facilitate cross functional planning meetings and ensure timely communication of changes in plans or priorities
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership team
- Supervises and ensures timely and accurate execution of all accounting and financial (e.g., budget, latest estimate month end close, controlling, reporting, taxation, treasury, internal audit) tasks
- Monitor/Guide Financial controls and compliance with corporate financial policy and procedure
- Lead global or JAPAC initiated project (such as SAP implementation, Process improvement etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement in planning tools, systems, and methodologies
- Team management
- Ad-hoc support on demand
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
- At least 10 years of experience in financial planning in an MNC environment.
- Experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans or process improvements.
- Experience of leading change management in the areas of processes and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Fluency both in written and oral English
- CPA or relevant finance license would be a plus
- Good knowledge about SAP & Hyperion system would be a plus
