What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will:

  • Strategic Demand & Supply Planning: Own the design and implementation of End-to-End (E2E) Planning and Life-Cycle Management processes to ensure consistent product availability and meet market demand in Mexico, while minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Leadership: Guide the S&OP to align strategic goals with operational execution, ensuring balanced inventory management and enhanced supply chain resilience. This includes developing long-term forecasts and aligning production capacity with market demand.
  • Demand Forecasting & Consensus Building: Lead cross-functional demand review processes to establish a consensus forecast based on market insights, statistical data, and scenario analysis. Facilitate decision-making that aligns demand with inventory management strategies and mitigates supply risks.
  • Product Launch & Life Cycle Management: Be responsible for the timely and effective execution of product launches and regulatory variations, ensuring that market introductions are in line with lifecycle management strategies and regulatory compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate collaboration among local, regional, and global teams across various functions (e.g., commercial, regulatory, quality, finance) to ensure flawless execution of pivotal initiatives, product launches, and lifecycle events.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall competitiveness of the supply chain.
  • Inventory and Finished Goods Management: Strategically supervise the management of finished good's inventory, ensuring product availability while minimizing waste, scrap, and expiration risks. Balance inventory levels with production and demand forecasts to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure responsiveness and alignment with supply chain objectives, driving performance and meeting operational deadlines.
  • Critical metric Management & Performance Monitoring: Be responsible for the development and monitoring of key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), and service levels. Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed decisions at the senior management level.
  • Master Data Governance: Oversee the creation and maintenance of Master Data elements within ERP systems (SAP and Rapid Respond), ensuring alignment with country-specific planning requirements and lifecycle events.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities, including product launches and inventory management, align with local and global regulatory requirements. Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in planning and execution processes.
  • Critical Communication & Risk Management: Act as a strategic point of contact for identifying and addressing supply or product availability risks. Communicate potential issues to the Commercial team and senior leadership promptly to mitigate impact.
  • Leadership & Decision Support: Provide strategic leadership within the supply chain function, stepping in as a backup for the Senior Supply Chain Manager when required. Ensure effective decision-making and communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Global Expansion & Country Strategy Support: Support the company's regional expansion strategy by applying project management skills, operational excellence tools, and supply chain standard methodologies to drive the successful launch and management of new products and markets.
  • Drive monthly demand planning meetings and establish consensus forecasting for short, medium, and long-term horizons among all involved areas.
  • Create Purchase Orders (PO) and Stock Transfer Orders (STO) for replenishments in SAP and Rapid Respond.
  • Build a strong network within local, regional, and global cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree OR
  • Master’s degree and 3 years of direct related experience in Supply Chain and Demand Planning in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of direct related experience in Supply Chain and Demand Planning in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of direct related experience in Supply Chain and Demand Planning in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of direct related experience in Supply Chain and Demand Planning in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
  • English – Business proficient.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product Launches and Variations, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Importation Process, Customs Clearance, ERP Master Data, SAP/Kinaxis experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • GMP knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical or bio/pharmaceutical regulations.
  • APICS certification.
  • Team player who takes on ownership of driving tasks / projects to completion.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in multi-cultural forums.
  • Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects prioritizing as required to successfully handle workload to meet timelines.
