What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will:

• Ensure a strategic relationship and strong communication with Affiliate business partners to form a deep understanding of priorities, capability needs and desired business outcomes.
• Build and own the DTI strategy, Commercial DTI roadmap and annual detailed delivery plan and budget in support of the capability needs.
• Work with the business partners, direct team, global DTI service teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of the plan and business value.
• Drive utilization and adoption of core DTI platforms and partnerships, enabling users to make full use of the enterprise’s technology and information, maximizing the value of technology investments.
• On an ongoing base evaluate new demand and priorities and identify service improvement opportunities to ensure continued alignment to business goals.
• Oversee and influence technology architecture and operations to support service objectives.
• Maintain a solid understanding of the external landscape of new technologies and vendors supporting Life Sciences and Commercial processes.
• Responsibility for updating exiting DTI Policies and/or creating new DTI Policies according to local regulatory and legal requirements.

Authority

• Affiliate DTI budget accountability.
• Responsible for defining the DTI strategy, deliver a portfolio of projects that will bring value to the Affiliate based on technology implementations.
• Advisory role to regional DTI management on technology choices and vendors that provide services at country and hub level.
• Advisory role to global teams delivering projects to the region that would need local coordination and mobilization.

Outputs

• Affiliate roadmap of initiatives, investments and budget to secure delivery of business outcomes
• Financial planning and budget responsibility to deliver the portfolio.
• Deliverable responsibility for global/regional projects, secure adoption, usage and value realization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of DTI experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR

• Master’s degree and 4 years of DTI experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of DTI experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of DTI experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry OR
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of DTI experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry
• English – Business proficient.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong commercial business process, data and technology knowledge ideally in a regulated industry (Biotech or Pharmaceutical Industry preferred).
• Played DTI Service lead roles in dynamic and challenging business environments.
• Business partnership and strategy experience dealing with senior business stakeholders.
• Worked in an international multi-cultural environment ideally global/international organization.
• Experience of line management and team development in a virtual environment.
• Managed large projects and budgets.
• Vendor management.
• Knowledge in CRM solutions (Veeva, SalesForce.com) including knowledge about Cycle Planning, Closed Loop Marketing, etc.
• Knowledge in BI / analytical, digital marketing and campaign management tools.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of commercial, marketing and brand planning.
• Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
• Demonstrates service-oriented attitude.
