WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Specialist IS / Technology Business Analyst, you’ll work at the intersection of science, data, and innovation. You’ll collaborate with world-class experts across domains to build high-impact digital solutions that accelerate research, streamline operations, and empower better patient outcomes.

This role defines product requirements - epics, user stories, and supporting artifacts like process maps and test plans - by leveraging domain and business process expertise. It involves close collaboration with developers and analysts to ensure clear technical requirements for accurate planning and testing. The focus is on Global Commercial Data & Analytics for the ELMAC and JAPAC (OUS) regions, using technologies like AWS, Databricks, Airflow, GitLab, and Informatica to accelerate value delivery.

  • Collaborate with business, technical, and cross-functional teams to define scope, identify enhancement opportunities, and ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables.

  • Break down epics into features and user stories, maintaining clear and accurate documentation in tools like Jira.

  • Perform data analysis, support system implementation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth maintenance.

  • Communicate requirements effectively, facilitate backlog reviews, and conduct product demonstrations for stakeholders.

  • Document and track defects during testing, working closely with development teams on resolution.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The tech professional we seek is a creative problem-solver and a team player with these qualifications:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or Information Systems, with 4–12 years of relevant experience depending on education level.

  • Strong domain expertise and technical knowledge in scientific areas.

  • Skilled in writing user requirements and acceptance criteria, with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and business complexity.

  • Experience in Agile/DevOps environments, team collaboration, and accountability for meeting deadlines.A passion for applying technology to make a real-world impact.

  • Fluency in English.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Skilled in writing user requirements, acceptance criteria, and managing product features using Agile tools like JIRA.

  • Experienced in PI planning, product roadmaps, user journeys, and validating user stories against business expectations.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with Jira Align, Confluence, DevOps, CI/CD methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Self-motivated, analytical, and capable of working independently or in global virtual teams.

  • Strong multitasking, communication, and teamwork abilities, with a focus on delivering results.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in cloud-based ETL tools (Informatica, Databricks), Redshift, S3, AWS, and BI tools (especially Tableau).

  • Knowledge in Big Data, Analytics, Reporting, Data Lakes, and Data Integration technologies.
