WHAT YOU WILL DO

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will serve as the Scrum Master for one or more of Amgen’s Source-to-Pay product teams, driving agile delivery of digital solutions that support procurement transformation. You will enable high-performing, cross-functional teams by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting agile best practices. Your role will be essential in delivering value across initiatives such as guided procurement, supplier onboarding, and sourcing optimization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Work closely with Product Owners and team members to deliver prioritized backlog items with quality and predictability.

  • Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Track and manage sprint metrics, burn-down charts, and team velocity for improved transparency.

  • Promote agile values and team collaboration to foster a culture of innovation and delivery excellence.

  • Partner with Release Train Engineers and other Scrum Masters to coordinate cross-team dependencies and PI planning activities.

  • Ensure adherence to Amgen’s agile delivery and compliance frameworks.

  • Coach the team on Agile/SAFe principles and foster adoption across the broader organization.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR

  • Diploma and 12+ years of professional experience.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience as a Scrum Master supporting product teams in a technology environment.

  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and tools (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence).

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Background in procurement or ERP-related technology projects.

  • Experience supporting teams through organizational and technology transformations.

Professional Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification.

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and influence outcomes.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

  • Team-oriented and focused on delivering high-value solutions.

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to resolving challenges and driving innovation.
