About the team:

Our Technology team is located at Amgen Capability Center in Lisbon, Portugal (ACCP) & overtime will be hometo over 400 multi-national and multi-cultural employees, representing a broad range of cross functional capabilities, including Technology, Commercial, General and Administrative, Research and Development and many more functional areas.

Our team is focusing in implementing and supporting regional & global projects and enablers to support Amgen business capabilities, value streams & business processes.

We are functioning as ELMAC PSP (Patient Support Program), delivering product features in an agile manner & SAFe Framework, focusing on most business added values. Our operating activities are organized via a DevOps model.

We are seeking an ambitious and talented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Salesforce Developer. This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong development skills who is looking to enter the exciting world of Salesforce development, even without any prior background in Salesforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and gather requirements for Salesforce platform customization.

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications and solutions that align with business needs and best practices.

  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.

  • Implement and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.

  • Assist with data migration and integration tasks, utilizing tools such as Salesforce Data Loader and Salesforce Connect.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues reported by users and stakeholders.

  • Follow development best practices, ensuring adherence to coding standards, version control, and documentation requirements.

  • Stay up to date with Salesforce platform updates and new features and explore opportunities to leverage them in development projects.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and stakeholders.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Required qualifications, skills & abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, such as Java, C#, or similar.

  • Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex requirements and design effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a diverse team environment.

  • Desire to learn and develop expertise in Salesforce development, even without prior Salesforce background.

  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.

  • Certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, are desired but not mandatory.
