Associate Quality Control - Wet Chemistry

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for one or more of the following activities: analytical testing, method development, routine sample testing, and data management. This role is a key contributor within the Quality Control department and supports non-standard shift operations, which may include first, second, third, and/or weekend shifts.

  • Conduct routine laboratory testing using techniques such as UV, TOC, Instron, pH , Conductivity, GC, FTIR, Osmometer, Oxygen analyzers, Visual appearance and Raw Material compendial methods.
  • Perform aliquoting, standards/reagents preparation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Accurately document, review, and analyze test results; ensure timely data entry and communication.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure proper operation of specialized equipment.
  • Follow cGMP, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines; participate in document revisions.
  • Support investigations, audits, and result approvals as needed.
  • Identify and report issues promptly; evaluate options and seek guidance when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

or

Associate’s degree and 6+ months of quality control and/or laboratory experience

or

High school diploma / GED and 2 years of quality control and/or laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Life Sciences or Chemistry.
  • Industry lab experience in Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong foundation in chemistry, biology, physical sciences, and mathematics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, safety protocols, and documentation practices.
  • Skilled in evaluating data and documentation per company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Effective at prioritizing tasks to meet organizational goals.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and evolving requirements.
  • Familiarity with Amgen products and Quality Control operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written).
