Software Development Engineer - Test ii
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will work closely with data engineers, architects, and product owners to understand the applications being built. The role will be responsible for developing test automation scripts, develop reusable common components for testing, develop load and scalability test scripts, analyze production issues and develop innovative automation for early detection and prevention of those issues, or for self-healing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and implement automated test scripts.
- Work closely with the test automation architect to implement the designed framework, develop reusable common components, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation process.
- Develop and implement performance tests using automation tools to simulate load, stress, and scalability tests.
- Automated testing related to security aspects of products (e.g., automated security audits, penetration tests, etc.)
- Ongoing sustainment of test automation assets.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide estimations on technical implementation.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the product teams.
What we expect of you

- Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of computer science and engineering and Test Automation experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of computer science and engineering and Test Automation experience OR
- Diploma and 7 to 9 years of computer science and engineering and Test Automation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- Awareness of or experience using AI-powered testing tools.
- Strong coding skills using Python or Java.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools (such as Selenium), and a good understanding of software development and software testing methodologies and CI/CD process.
- Expertise in performance testing tools (such as JMeter, Load-Runner).
- Understanding of network and server monitoring, and ability to analyze performance bottlenecks.
- Understanding of security principles and software vulnerabilities.
- Ability to learn quickly, be organized and detail oriented.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Proficient in SQL for extracting, transforming, and analyzing datasets.
- Experienced with software engineering best-practices, including but not limited to version control (Git, Subversion, etc.), CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven etc.), automated unit testing, and Dev Ops
- Experienced with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud services
