What you will do
Amgen India is a key contributor to the company’s global digital transformation initiatives, delivering secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital solutions. As part of the Global Medical Technology – Medical Information team, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across Amgen’s Medical Information platforms.
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst in the Global Medical Technology – Medical Information business unit, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role supports the planning and execution of enhancements for Amgen’s Medical Information digital ecosystem, including Medical Information Websites and validated enterprise systems.
You will play a vital role in requirement gathering, documentation, stakeholder engagement, user story creation, validation readiness, and offshore coordination. You will collaborate closely with business SMEs, product owners, QA, validation, and technical teams to ensure that all business requirements are clearly defined, refined, and translated into development-ready user stories that adhere to Amgen’s GxP and validation standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Facilitate and participate in requirement gathering sessions, backlog refinement, and business feedback discussions for new features and process improvements
Translate business requirements into clearly written user stories and tasks in JIRA, including complete descriptions and standardized formatting
Define detailed acceptance criteria for each user story, aligned with refinement sessions and stakeholder expectations
Lead business demos, capturing feedback in the form of meeting minutes (MOMs) and translating feedback into actionable user stories or enhancements
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure timely document approvals, process validations, and business alignment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, validation, and QA to ensure accurate implementation of business needs
Support process documentation including current-state and future-state process flows, user journey maps, and system behavior mapping
Coordinate with offshore teams for effective delivery of work packages and alignment on shared deliverables and documentation
Ensure all activities and deliverables are aligned with Amgen’s validation processes, GxP requirements, and audit readiness
Work closely with validation teams to support RS, DS development, RTM creation, OQ test case mapping, and change control documentation
Track and report on the status of user stories, blockers, and upcoming priorities in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and the enhancement of BA practices across the team
Maintain a strong understanding of the business domain, platform functionality, and user experience requirements to provide strategic input on solution design
Proficient in supporting solutions within regulated GxP and CSV-compliant computer systems, ensuring adherence to validation, audit, and documentation standards

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR
Diploma and 7 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related technical/business field
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Analyst in the pharmaceutical or life sciences domain
Strong experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile delivery methodologies
Proven ability to write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain traceability documentation
Experience working in a GxP-regulated environment with knowledge of Computer systems validation lifecycle
Experience collaborating with onsite and offshore delivery models and global project teams
Understanding of SDLC, Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks, and change management practices
Excellent documentation skills and comfort with process modeling tools
Must-Have Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Proven ability to facilitate requirements gathering, document business processes, and translate them into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience using and adopting Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
An ongoing commitment to learning and staying at the forefront of AI/ML advancements.
Understanding of change control documentation, impact analysis, and maintaining traceability between business requirements and validation artifacts.
Ability to support creation of as-is/to-be process flows, user journey maps, and system behavior models to guide product design and improvements.
Ability to conduct the role in accordance to GxP and CSV regulations and requirements
Professional Certifications
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/POPM
Certification in GxP/CSV compliance (preferred)
