We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician Intern (“Laborantelev”) to join our Analytics team for a one-year internship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment. You will be part of a small, highly skilled team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry) systems that support various drug discovery projects.

During this 12-month assignment, we offer a full-time position. You will support our analytics team by:

  • Assisting in the operation, setup, and maintenance of various LC-MS instruments (including HighRes systems).

  • Running routine and project-based samples on LC-MS system.

  • Helping develop and implement new analytical methods and instrument configurations.

  • Monitoring and maintaining instrument performance and data quality standards.

  • Preparing solvents, basic sample preparation, and standards for LC-MS analysis.

  • Tracking spare parts inventory and maintaining well-organized laboratory areas.

  • Supporting preparative mass-directed LC analysis in collaboration with other internal groups.

  • Documenting analysis workflows ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.

  • Familiarize yourself with LC-MS software tools and data analysis.

  • Getting accustomed to automated liquid handlers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for Laboratory Technician Intern at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled in a professional education to become a laboratory technician and looking for a one-year internship.

  • Have passed the theoretical part of the laboratory technician training no later than 31/08/202

  • Passionate about laboratory work and eager to work with advanced analytical instrumentation.

  • Familiar with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry principles

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to organization, balanced by the capacity to prioritize efficiency and avoid excessive diligence

  • A strong teammate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, outspoken, and motivated to produce high-quality results in a dynamic research setting.

  • Flexibility and reliability ensure consistent on-site support

  • Ability to remain organized and focused on in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight cutoff
