Healthcare Compliance & Data Privacy Officer- Egypt & Maghreb Cluster

Purpose of the role

In this vital role you will serve as key contributor in 2 leadership teams working cross-functionally to promote and support adherence to all Healthcare Compliance requirements (internal and external) in the markets and serve as Data Privacy Lead for the markets.

      Job Description

  • Contribute to and define the site's compliance strategy using a risk-based approach.
  • Serve as a member of the Countries Management Teams and local Data Privacy Lead.
  • Act as a key contact for regional Healthcare Compliance, providing strategic advice.
  • Represent the sites within World Compliance and Business Ethics.
  • Advocate for compliance within the business by understanding compliance and business drivers.
  • Oversee and implement Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Programs and policies.
  • Influence all levels of staff to accomplish compliance initiatives and goals.
  • Drive and oversee risk assessments, self-reviews, and participate in assurance and investigation activities.
  • Oversee corrective action implementation in coordination with relevant functions.
  • Provide leadership, advice, and support on local Codes of Practice, legislation, and Amgen Healthcare Compliance programs.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable laws and regulations affecting the site/region.
  • Participate in and monitor changes at local Trade Associations and national legislation.
  • Support audit activities.

As the Healthcare Compliance Head for the Egypt & Maghreb Cluster, you will play a crucial role in advising on Amgen’s Healthcare Compliance program and processes. You will connect with teams across affiliates to provide comprehensive Healthcare Compliance training, fostering better understanding and engagement. This, in turn, will drive business growth in a compliant manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.


Qualifications:

  • + 10 years of proven experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Current or previous experience within multinational companies.
  • French language is a must have- as you’ll be part of the Leadership team of Maghreb Cluster, and English fluency.
  • Current or previous regional exposure and different markets understanding is a huge plus.
  • Current or previous experience in financial compliance & data privacy is required.
  • Preferable previous experience as a legal professional.
  • Defining and implementing policies, procedures and SOP’s.
  • Developing training materials.
  • Performing healthcare compliance related documentation reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a flexible, collaborative and team-oriented approach to problem-solving and an ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities and provide high level of services across multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel within Egypt, other MEA locations and other international locations (as needed).
