Internship Project: Cost Management in Distribution
We are looking for a student for a project sought at harnessing the power of our available invoice and activity data to help manage distribution costs.
This project will involve analyzing cost and cost driver data of our EMEA distribution network to identify anomalies, standardize processes, and generate meaningful insights to optimize costs. You will compare the costs associated with various activity drivers between contracted entities in the EMEA Distribution network. This includes a detailed examination of the factors influencing costs and how they vary across different activities. The comparison will help in understanding the cost structure and identifying areas for potential savings. Based on the trends, you will also provide reliable estimates of future costs to support budgeting.
To visualize your findings, you will build dashboards that provide a clear and concise view of cost metrics, enabling better decision-making and tracking of cost optimization efforts. These dashboards will be used monthly by the logistics management team to coordinate the entities operating in Amgen’s EMEA distribution network and to support budget planning.
The internship is based at Amgen Breda.
