Senior Associate Supply Chain: Inventory Management, Picking & Delivery

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will play an integral role across site operations, providing departmental support in areas such as raw material procurement, production planning, capacity and risk analysis.

  • Reinforce Amgen safety culture and culture of compliance with cGMP requirements at all times.
  • Understand and advance warehouse performance (safety, compliance, efficiency) via business KPI and action cycles/project execution.
  • Coordinate operational excellence initiatives as a Supply Chain specialist in partnership with site and network functions.
  • Own the following document types/records specific to the Supply Chain specialty of your role.
  • Provide guidance and support deviations requiring Supply Chain ownership or input.
  • Assist service providers in problem solving and correcting transaction errors.
  • Develop and improve effective training programs.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to external service providers in warehouse operations specific to the Supply Chain specialty of the role.
  • In Supply Chain area of expertise, assist service providers with creation of standard productivity measurements, standard work, and systems that ensure processes created are sustained.
  • Coach external service provider leadership team, and monitor their leader standard work.
  • Support inspections, tours, and audits of Supply Chain areas on site.
  • Participate as an active member on global network teams.
  • Support Supply Chain E2E initiatives in area of specialty.
  • Cross-train with other ARI Supply Chain Senior Associates to gain full expertise and proficiency in at least one other role

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school/GED + 4 years Supply Chain work experience OR
  • Associate’s + 2 years Supply Chain work experience OR
  • Bachelor’s + 6 Supply Chain work experience OR
  • Master's

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record that includes focus on safety and safety improvement projects.
  • Strong cGMP regulatory acumen and experience.
  • Experience identifying wastes in processes.
  • Experience implementing operational excellence improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including data and analytics competence.
  • Accountability and autonomy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with oversight of third party service providers.
  • Cross-functional manufacturing experience (supply / capacity planning, manufacturing, project management, engineering / maintenance, safety)
  • Knowledge of biologics manufacturing processes and end-to-end supply chain
  • Experience with GMP and GDP operations and regulation including warehouse and inventory management, distribution, logistics, security, and associated Quality Management processes
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (Procurement, Planning, Receipt, Material Movement, Cycle Count / Inventory reconciliation, Material Issuance, Distribution) and master data management).
  • Ability to influence decision making process across multiple departments and levels.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
