EH&S Manager
What you will do
Let’s do this! Let’s change the world! We are looking for an experienced EHS professional to drive world class Environment, Health and Safety performance at a diverse and dynamic biotech manufacturing facility. Under the direction of the Director, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), the successful candidate will have responsibility for managing multiple complex Safety, Environment and Health Programs; provide strategic and tactical support for large functions at the site; and be a change agent for driving our Every Action, Every Time Culture.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated;
Success driving continuous improvement of complex EHS programs, Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with pragmatic application in a dynamic environment, Ability to influence Functional leadership and staff to achieve and sustain world class EHS performance through effective governance and engagement on the floor, Team first mindset enabling colleagues and teams to thrive from their unique perspective and subject matter expertise

Program Management:
Implementation and/or management of the key programs Apply Plan, Do, Check Act management system to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing state of compliance readiness for key programs, such as:
Lock Out Tag Out
Environmental Programs (Air, Waste and Wastewater)
Regulated Waste
Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation and Personal Protective Equipment
Elements of Culture and Total Workforce Health
Build team bench strength and provide subject matter expertise as required to support broader team of EHS Client Representatives.
Client Support:
Partner with clients to advance safety culture and manage EHS risks
Analyze metrics and establish annual action plans to drive continuous improvement.
Establish and execute risk assessment plans for clients to ensure all risks are proactively addressed and control systems are implemented and maintained
Ensure all changes with potential EHSS impact are assessed and controls are established prior to implementation
Ensure all hazards are identified and risks are proactively assessed
Establish safe work procedures for hazardous work
Conduct regular inspections of the work areas
Monitor incident trends and conduct incident investigations to implement robust corrective actions to prevent future incidents and injuries
Conduct regular EHS management reviews with Client Leadership
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of EH&S experience OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of EH&S experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of EH&S experience OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of EH&S experience OR
Doctorate degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of Biotech Manufacturing processes
Experience in developing and implementing industrial hygiene programs and/or risk management programs in a biotech/pharma or related industry
Knowledge of US and Local regulations as they pertain to pharma/ biotech operations
Applied knowledge and understanding of EHS principles and best practices, regulatory standards, and requirements in context of business activities

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
