Sr. Business Analyst, Precision Medicine
What you will do

In this vital role you will support the Precision Medicine technology portfolio team with focus on multi-year portfolio planning, automation and AI enablement, financial management, budget planning, compliance, productivity advancement, and cross-team coordination. Working closely with portfolio leaders, customer leaders and SME’s, and Finance and Agile enablement teams, in both the US and India, this role will provide operational, analytical, and administrative support across all product teams, ensuring disciplined portfolio and product management and operational excellence of our PMED Technology practice.
- Assist in global coordination of portfolio stakeholder needs, including intake of new requests.
- Assure centralized and consistent communication and documentation across all product teams.
- Coordinate risk/issue logs, action trackers, and cross-team dependencies.
- Drive quarterly planning processes including prioritization and status reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team leads to assure PMed technology roadmap is maintained and well socialized.
- Assure team is passionately pursuing adoption of AI and other efficiencies and generating measurable savings
- Find opportunities to streamline operational processes and introduce efficiencies.
- Support development and rollout of improved reporting tools, templates, and dashboards.
- Roll out Amgen guidelines and tools that maximize consistency, visibility, and productivity of all PMED Product and Project teams.
- Lead capacity planning and tracking across India-based and US-based teams.
- Maintain the portfolio’s operational dashboards, logs, and scorecards.
- Track and report on productivity metrics, delivery KPIs, and operational performance across product teams.
- Oversee the portfolio administration JIRA board and prioritization of process improvements to deliver
- Partner with compliance, audit, security, and PMO teams to ensure adherence to enterprise processes.
- Support documentation for audits, validation activities, and regulatory or data governance requirements.
- Maintain standardized templates, document repositories, and controls.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of business operations experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of business operations experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of business operations experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of business operations experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years in business analysis, project/portfolio coordination, PMO, finance/operations, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial tracking, budgeting, or operational metrics.
- Expert with Agile delivery environments and technology lifecycle processes.
- Proven experience configuring and building a wide variety of technology management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, PowerBI, etc.
- Proven experience utilizing AI
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with distributed/global teams.
- Experience in biotech, pharma, medical devices, or other regulated industries is a plus.
- Budget & Financial Management
- Support annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking across the portfolio.
- Partner with finance teams to ensure accurate accounting, accruals, and vendor engagement processes.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
