Senior Manager – Patient Access Brand Technology Lead

What you will do

In this vital role you, the Senior Manager, Patient Services Program & Product Management Lead will serve as a strategic business technology leader responsible for driving enterprise-scale transformation across Patient Support Program technologies, capabilities, and operational processes. This hybrid leadership role combines program management, product management, technology strategy, and business transformation to accelerate innovation within the Patient Access & Reimbursement (PAR) ecosystem.

This leader will oversee a portfolio of interconnected patient services technology initiatives spanning CRM modernization, workflow automation, digital engagement, AI-enabled capabilities, data integration, and operational transformation. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, Digital Technology & Innovation teams, external vendors, and cross-functional program leaders to deliver scalable, patient-centric solutions that improve patient and provider experiences while advancing operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a highly strategic, execution-oriented leader with deep expertise in patient services operations, technology product management, and complex cross-functional program delivery within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. This individual must thrive in highly matrixed environments and demonstrate the ability to align business priorities, technology roadmaps, and organizational change initiatives across multiple concurrent workstreams.

As a business technology and transformation leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Patient Services technology capabilities, enabling scalable operations, improving user experiences, and ensuring delivery excellence across a complex portfolio of strategic initiatives.

What you will do

Program & Portfolio Management Leadership

  • Lead a portfolio of patient services technology initiatives spanning CRM modernization, digital engagement, automation, and operational transformation
  • Drive end-to-end program execution across concurrent cross-functional workstreams involving internal technology teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Develop integrated program plans, manage dependencies and risks, and provide executive-level status reporting and governance
  • Align delivery roadmaps, resource planning, financials, and implementation timelines across interconnected initiatives
  • Ensure successful execution through Agile delivery methodologies and coordinated technology deployment strategies

Enterprise Patient Services Technology Transformation

  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives across the Patient Access & Reimbursement technology ecosystem to modernize patient support capabilities and operational workflows
  • Define and execute multi-year technology transformation roadmaps aligned to business strategy, enterprise priorities, and evolving patient support needs
  • Drive innovation across CRM platforms, digital engagement tools, workflow orchestration, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, analytics, and interoperability solutions
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and optimize patient services operations through technology enablement and process redesign
  • Influence enterprise technology strategy at the intersection of patient experience, operational excellence, and digital innovation
  • Establish scalable governance frameworks to support sustainable delivery and prioritization across a portfolio of technology initiatives

Product Management & CRM Strategy

  • Serve as the strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to define and execute Patient Services CRM strategy
  • Translate business objectives and operational needs into scalable product roadmaps, requirements, and technology solutions
  • Lead product lifecycle activities including prioritization, capability planning, release management, and adoption strategy
  • Partner with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to define business requirements, epics, user stories, and solution designs
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards

  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as a trusted advisor across Commercial, Patient Access, Reimbursement, HUB Operations, Data & Analytics, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and DTI organizations
    • Build and manage relationships with external vendors, implementation partners, and service providers to advance Patient Services capabilities
    • Drive alignment across highly matrixed stakeholder groups with competing priorities and organizational objectives
    • Facilitate executive presentations, roadmap reviews, governance forums, and strategic communications
    • Mentor team members and contractors in business analysis, requirements gathering, and program delivery best practices

  • Business Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary liaison of the business with Global Commercial Operations Digital Technology Innovation & Global Customer Capabilities teams to translate, negotiate and influence business needs into system solutions
    • Partner with key vendor partners to advance technology capabilities as part of PAR suite of services that support patients & healthcare professionals
    • Manage prioritization of business capabilities within the brand tech portfolio
    • Lead and guide direct staff & contractors on how to effectively elicit business requirements to accurately depict business problems statement and business goals

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of program management experience

OR

Master’s degree and 4 years of program management experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of program management experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of program management experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of program management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in US Patient Services and Patient Access operations
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale technology transformation programs
  • Expertise in program management, portfolio management, and strategic roadmap development
  • Experience managing large, complex initiatives across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholder groups
  • Strong product management experience within CRM and customer engagement technologies
  • Experience leading matrixed teams across business, IT, and external vendor organizations
  • Expertise in Agile delivery methodologies, SDLC processes, and organizational change management
  • Experience with Salesforce platforms including Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with business process optimization and operational excellence initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen including program budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management
  • Self-motivated leader capable of driving initiatives from strategy through execution and operationalization

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
