The UPLIZNA IgG4-RD Senior Associate, Marketing will play an important role in supporting the execution of key Medical Marketing initiatives as well as healthcare professional (HCP) marketing initiatives that educate customers, strengthen brand differentiation, and enable best-in-class field execution, while gathering the necessary insights and creating strong commercial strategies based on those learnings. Working closely with marketing leadership, agency partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, this individual will help bring commercial strategy to life by coordinating marketing projects, supporting development of promotional materials, and ensuring flawless execution of key commercial initiatives.

What you will do

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate budget and logistics for Amgen Congress Team-led, marketing-led, and sales-led congresses with cross-functional, cross-brand, and external agency stakeholders.  

  • Track congress performance and KPIs, capture key learnings, and identify opportunities to continuously improve future execution and define year-over-year conference opportunities that are aligned with brand strategy.  

  • Partner closely with Marketing Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure speaker program activity and investment remain aligned with brand priorities and annual budget expectations. 

  • Maintain visibility into program volume, utilization, and spend throughout the year, identifying trends, opportunities, or potential gaps.  

  • Coordinate planning and execution for UPLIZNA advisory boards, partnering with Marketing, Medical, agencies, and other key stakeholders to ensure programs are aligned with strategic objectives. 

  • Support HCP identification, recruitment, and participation planning in collaboration with appropriate internal partners. 

  • Support the development, review, and deployment of branded, disease-state, and unbranded promotional materials by partnering with HCP marketing leadership, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer-facing resources. 

  • Support coordination of marketing projects from planning through execution by managing timelines, budgets, agency deliverables, and project plans to ensure timely delivery of key business priorities. 

  • Support the facilitation of promotional materials through the Material Approval and Compliance (MAC) process by partnering with Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and agency partners to ensure timely, compliant approvals. 

  • Build strong partnerships across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Global Marketing, Market Research, Digital, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to successfully support the execution of HCP marketing initiatives.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree 

OR 

Master's degree and 1 year of marketing and/or marketing operations experience 

OR 

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of marketing and/or marketing operations  experience 

OR 

Associate's degree and 6 years of marketing and/or marketing operations experience 

OR 

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of directly related experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of biopharmaceutical or healthcare commercial experience in marketing, sales, commercial operations, project management, or a related business function. 

  • Experience supporting the development and execution of promotional marketing materials. 

  • Experience supporting conference, speaker program, advisory board and/or medical marketing and peer-to-peer tactics.  

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Experience working with agency partners, promotional review processes, Veeva, and the Material Approval and Compliance (MAC) process preferred. 

  • rare disease, or specialty pharmaceutical experience preferred. 

  • Strong attention to detail, learning agility, and a passion for delivering high-quality commercial execution.
