Sr. Associate, Meetings Global Meetings & Events

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the Global Meetings Management (GMM) team in the coordination and operational execution of Amgen’s meeting portfolio across the product lifecycle—from R&D through launch and commercial activities.

This role focuses on administrative and logistical support for meetings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the planning and execution process. The Sr. Associate will assist with materials review, supplier coordination, and data management to ensure adherence to Amgen’s policies and standards.

Working closely with the Sr. Manager, Product Meetings Lead and Meetings & Events Manager, Product Meetings, this role contributes to the delivery of exceptional, compliant, and globally consistent meeting experiences that support Amgen’s mission and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Meeting Coordination and Logistics

  • Support the end-to-end planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid low- to medium-complexity meetings, ensuring operational accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide coordination support to the meetings team, including registration website review, material and communication review, contract package review, and estimated budget and SOW tracking.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure event materials, agendas, and deliverables are completed on time and meet Amgen quality standards.

Stakeholder and Supplier Collaboration

  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Medical, GCO, Corporate Affairs, Compliance) and suppliers to support program timelines and deliverables.

Compliance and Data Management

  • Ensure all meetings adhere to HCC, legal, and transparency requirements, maintaining strict compliance with Amgen policies and global standards.
  • Support agencies and internal partners by providing guidance on country-specific requirements for HCP engagement and documentation.
  • Maintain data accuracy in Cvent and related systems to support reporting, audit readiness, and KPI tracking.

Project Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Support special projects and GMM process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Assist with training logistics, documentation updates, and communication rollout for new processes or tools.
  • Contribute ideas that enhance service delivery, technology adoption, and user experience.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in HCP meeting management, project coordination, or event logistics, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare industry.

Or

Associate’s degree and 6 years of experience in HCP meeting management, project coordination, or event logistics, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare industry.

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience in HCP meeting management, project coordination, or event logistics, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences environments preferred.
  • Experience with Cvent, Smartsheet, SAP, SharePoint, Tableau, or other enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance principles and data management protocols.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
