Salesforce Architect - Associate Director
What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the Commercial Technology architecture supporting Field Excellence and Marketing, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to technical leadership, system design, and architectural governance across a complex ecosystem.
Operating as a technical lead, you will work closely with development teams, providing design guidance, technical oversight, and standard process recommendations while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient. You will also be instrumental in evaluating emerging technologies, leading architectural assessments, and guiding technology migrations to support evolving business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead for development teams, providing hands-on architectural guidance and ensuring high-quality solution design.
- Define and complete an architecture strategy that enables scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions for Field Excellence and Marketing.
- Lead technical assessments and solution evaluations, ensuring new platforms align with enterprise goals and industry standard methodologies.
- Oversee system integrations, data architecture, and cloud strategies using Salesforce, Veeva, Mulesoft, Databricks, and AWS technologies.
- Provide technical oversight on development efforts, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business objectives.
- Partner with business collaborators, product teams, and development teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Act as a mentor and advisor to engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and SAFe Agile best practices.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and inform strategic Technology decisions.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Or
Master’s degree and 5 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 12 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Must-Have Functional Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a System Architect or Technical Lead in a complex, enterprise IT environment.
- Expertise in CRM, marketing automation, enterprise data platforms, system integration, and cloud-based architectures.
- Solid background in Salesforce ecosystem (Veeva CRM, SFMC), Mulesoft, Databricks, and AWS.
- Experience leading technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture governance.
- Ability to assess new technologies, define migration strategies, and drive large-scale technology transformations.
- Good understanding of enterprise data architecture, API-driven integrations, and security best practices.
- Experience working within SAFe Agile and cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and align strategies with business goals.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Strong solution design and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of technology, function, or platform
- Experience in developing differentiated and deliverable solutions
- Ability to analyze client requirements and translate them into solutions
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective presentation skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
