Global Marketing Director, Inflammation and General Medicine Inline Portfolio

What you will do

The Global Marketing Director, Inflammation and General Medicine Inline Growth Portfolio (Otezla, Prolia, Aimovig, Enbrel, Aranesp, Epogen, ) is a critical role in the Global Marketing Organization and has a significant impact in providing commercial leadership, critical thinking and a “One team voice.” Success in this role will result in substantial professional growth and opportunity for advancement at Amgen. The Global marketing director will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of a portfolio of Inline brands. This individual will drive lifecycle management, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize brand value and patient impact. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep market knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead and influence across multiple functions. This person will also serve as the commercial lead on the Product Teams and Integrated Brand Teams to incorporate market findings, insights and share best practices. It is a critical role meant to help connect the dots across the various cross-functional teams.

This role will report to the Executive Director Global Marketing, Inline Commercial Excellence and presents a breadth of challenging and exciting responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the performance of these inline brands, ensuring continued market relevance and revenue growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, and Sales, to identify and implement brand initiatives.
  • Lead lifecycle management strategies, including indications expansion, formulation improvements, pricing, and competitive differentiation.
  • Conduct market assessments and competitive intelligence to identify risks and opportunities within the landscape to help markets identify threats and opportunities.
  • Lead the Integrated Brand Team, including milestone planning, input collection, best practices sharing and strategic coordination across markets and functions using ONE Amgen approach and course correct on key gaps
  • Monitor and analyze brand performance metrics across markets and work with the regions to prioritize where you can identify opportunities for growth and drive better execution.
  • Drive connection across markets to ensure global alignment and leverage successful strategies across regions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and corporate guidelines in all marketing and commercial activities.
  • Ensure all marketing deliverables are on time, and of high quality in alignment with our processes and requirements. These may include global brand plans, competitive assessments, target product profiles, forecasts, messaging white paper, opportunity assessment and governance presentations

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 7years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 9years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong commercial leader with excellent marketing capabilities, superior cross-functional collaboration skills, and highly effective influencing skills
  • Prior experience developing global marketing strategies for pipeline products, successfully launching therapeutic products and excelling at local market-facing discussions
  • Prior experience in a tactical, “in-line” marketing role, implementing marketing strategies in local markets
  • An ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, problem solve, gain alignment and drive decision-making is required
  • Has worked in diverse commercial roles supporting different products in various stages of the lifecycle, with a diverse set of customers in challenging and competitive markets
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, managing projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities
  • Strong experience in oncology therapeutic areas. Keen understanding of the science, market trends, and future opportunities and hurdles

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
