What you will do and what we expect of you

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will:  

Duties: Responsible for the architecture, strategy, and design of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services in alignment with SAP's guidelines and Amgen's city planning strategy; Manage roadmap and lifecycle of the BTP services ensuring reliability, security, and compliance of its services to the ERP platform; Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the peer architects, internal COE, partners, and the external stakeholders in driving BTP discussions and its implementation; Work directly with the ERP platform owner and SMEs to understand, prioritize, and advise on BTP focus and rollout; Lead architecture design workshops during the migration of the on-prem ERP platform to a hyperscaler by applying the agile/scrum methods and Cl/CD principles wherever applicable to ensure optimal usage of BTP services; Establish guidelines, processes and tools and provide technical guidance to ensure seamless consumption of BTP services across the development, integration, and automation needs; Maintain appropriate BTP service metrics, key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and service level agreements and accountable for communicating key updates and BTP service consumption to the management for auditing and reporting purposes; and Develop a deep understanding of Global ERP's business needs, processes, and environment to enforce compliance, data governance, and security policies as they are applicable to the BTP. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field & 5 years of experience in the following: 

1. SAP Basis, including system installation, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and platform stability;  

2. SAP technical architecture on Cloud, ensuring seamless integration and security for both SAP and non-SAP components;  

3. Understanding cloud service models including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and experience with cloud infrastructure and security principles as they pertain to multi-cloud environments used in conjunction with SAP solutions;  

4. SAP lifecycle activities, utilizing tools including Solution Manager, LaMa, and ChaRM to automate upgrades, refreshes, and system optimizations; and  

5. Monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis to maintain a stable and high-performing SAP environment.

Job type: Full Time position. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $143,568.00 - $189,579.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
