Senior Manager, Value & Access Insights

What you will do and what we expect of you

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will:  

Duties: Partner with account Marketing, Market access and Pricing/Contracting to provide insights around various therapeutic areas like Migraine, Cardiovascular diseases, and Oncology within US healthcare system. Manage a 2–3-member team to deliver actionable insights for the Market access teams as well as the cross-brand initiatives. Responsible for generating, evaluating, and presenting insights and analytics to inform commercial growth opportunities and tactics relating to all aspects of market access. Oversee development of analytical resources for value and access team for Amgen’s Portfolio of existing, launch and pipeline drugs in US healthcare. Assess current data sets and data model to identify and introduce better GTN transparency and analytics. Oversee development of analytical resources for value and access team for Amgen’s Portfolio of existing, launch and pipeline drugs in US healthcare. Oversee efforts of 1-2 staff members, including setting performance standards, managing their staffing, and monitoring performance. Create data analytics models to generate strategic actionable business insights. Produce and deliver regular performance dashboards based on complex data sources. Provide analytics support to field-based market access teams. May telecommute. Supervisory duties. Position requires up to 5% of travel to unanticipated worksites nationally. 

Requirements: Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Management of information systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and 3 years of experience in the following skills: 

1. Data analytics models including SQL, Python, R, SAS, Microsoft Excel and VBA; 

2.  Forecasting reports utilizing Tableau; 

3.  Process management and optimization including Data synthesis;

4.    Quantitative and qualitative research; 

5.  Payer performance from various payer datasets including patient level claims data, payer claims data, formulary coverage and specialty pharmacy data; 

6.  Evaluate effectiveness of patient services in helping patients start and stay on their appropriately prescribed medicine by identifying challenges and opportunities; 

7.  Drive insights from primary market research and secondary sources to various internal stakeholders, including Organized Customer Team Sales Leadership, Key Account Managers, Access, Payer Marketing or Pricing and Contracting teams; 

8.  Support Cross portfolio sales teams and Managed Markets, effectively triage and address escalated payer or value related questions and issues.

Job type: Full Time position. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $173,829.00 - $204,764.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
