Let’s do this. Let’s change the world.

We are seeking a motivated Scientist or Senior Scientist in mass spectrometry–based proteomics to join our talented, collaborative team in Thousand Oaks, California. In this vital role, you will generate critical proteomic insights that support target identification, drug discovery, and the advancement of innovative screening technologies.

You will contribute across both pipeline advancement and screening-platform innovation by developing, implementing, and continuously improving cutting-edge, high-throughput proteomics workflows. This work includes automated sample preparation, mass spectrometry data acquisition and analysis across diverse assay formats, and the design and optimization of next-generation screening and analytical platforms.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in high-throughput mass spectrometry systems, along with a rigorous scientific mindset, sound troubleshooting skills, and an enthusiasm for collaborative drug discovery. Your work will enable innovative screening strategies, accelerate discovery programs, and strengthen proteomics support for the broader pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and implement high-throughput mass spectrometry–based proteomics workflows and screening platforms to accelerate drug discovery.
  • Execute automated sample preparation and LC–MS/MS analyses across a broad range of high-throughput proteomics assays.
  • Collaborate closely with therapeutic area, biology and chemistry teams as a technical and scientific subject-matter expert, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze and interpret proteomics data to generate insights into mechanism of action, target engagement, selectivity, and other key drug-discovery questions.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve high-throughput mass spectrometry systems and associated analytical workflows.
  • Present research findings at internal and external meetings, and clearly communicate experimental plans, results, and analyses to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely documentation of experiments, protocols, methods, and data analyses.
