In this vital role in the Process Development group based in Thousand Oaks, CA, you will be a part of the result driven, fast-paced and highly cross-functional team passionate about growing the understanding of biological impact of attributes of therapeutic molecules that are in the pipeline or commercial stages.
Independently design, plan and complete analytical characterization and biologically relevant assays in a team-oriented manner
Apply characterization methods and biological assays to deepen understanding of the impact of bio therapeutic attributes
Communicate the findings in presentations internally or externally or in written documents
Actively search and implement new knowledge or novel technologies aimed to achieve the team’s mission
Apply leadership and creativity in problem-solving and innovating new experimental technologies

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 4 years of Scientific experience OR
Associate’s degree and 2 years of Scientific experience OR
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemical biology, biophysics, immunology, pharmaceutical chemistry, analytical chemistry or related subject, with experimental experience
Experience in analytical characterization methods such as mass spectrometry and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and molecular modeling
Experience with cell-culture techniques and biologically relevant matrices such as serum
Experience with and knowledge of protein-based biotherapeutics
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail; excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, and strategically prioritize activities
Ability to think creatively, learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
