Accountabilities

The Manager, AI Solutions Partner plays a critical role within the AI&D Innovation Lab & Partnership team, contributing to the application of AI capabilities to address high priority business challenges in the Operations function under the guidance of the Director, Solutions Partner. This role will focus on helping translate business needs into AI opportunities, participating in execution activities, and contributing to delivery of AI initiatives that bring measurable value. The individual should possess functional knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Strategic Alignment:

Contribute to AI initiatives deliver tangible business value, aligned with functional priorities and enterprise strategy
Support AI&D in translating business needs into opportunities

AI Strategy and Execution:

Assist in identifying, scoping, and prioritizing AI opportunities within the function
Work with AI&D and Lab teams (Digital Product Management, Lab Accelerator) to execute and validate AI solutions that solve critical challenges.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the assigned function, AI&D, and Technology teams to deliver value to the business
Leverage external partnerships, tools, and data sources in collaboration with Ecosystem & Alliance Management.

Outcome Delivery:

Contribute to successful delivery and adoption of AI solutions within the assigned function, driving measurable outcomes and enterprise scalability.

Responsibilities

Functional Expertise:
Bring Operations domain knowledge to guide AI initiatives and ensure they address the most critical challenges.
Develop understanding of functional priorities and pain points to inform AI strategies.
AI Leadership:
Build domain expertise and network to contribute ideas for innovative applications of AI within the function.
Stay informed on emerging AI/ML trends and support the team in applying them to functional strategies.
Collaboration and Integration:
Partner closely with AI&D Leadership and Technology teams to effectively execute initiatives.
Participate in knowledge-sharing and alignment across functions and with external partners.
Performance Management:
Support measurement of AI initiative impact, and report results to AI&D leadership.
Continuously improve AI solution delivery by incorporating feedback from stakeholders and end users.

Authority

Functional Partnership:
Participate in execution teams and cross-functional discussions within the assigned function.

Outputs

AI Strategy for Assigned Function:
Contribute analysis to inform a clear, actionable AI strategy tailored to the needs and priorities of Operations.
Prioritized AI Portfolio:
Work on one or more AI initiatives within an AI&D portfolio aligned with functional and enterprise goals.
Validated AI Solutions:
Contribute to successful delivery of PoCs, MVPs, and scalable solutions that address critical challenges in the assigned function.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Build strong relationships with functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, adoption, and value delivery of AI solutions

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience working at the intersection of AI/ML and business functions, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
Strong domain expertise in the Operations function.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, technologies, and platforms, as well as a solid understanding of data ecosystems.

Preferred Requirements

Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline.
Experience partnering with external technology providers to deliver AI solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data privacy considerations in biopharma.
Track record of working on AI projects that align with organizational goals.
