Director Development Operations
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Director, Development Operations will report to the Vice President (VP) of Global Development Biosimilars. The Director will partner closely with the VP and the Global Development Biosimilars Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop and execute organizational strategy and priorities as well as manage day-to-day operations of the business. Key responsibilities of this position will include the following:
- Partner with VP and Senior Leadership Team to develop organizational strategy and priorities for our Clinical Research Organization (CRO) contracted partners.
- Day to day oversight of Biosimilars strategic partners and suppliers, as well as corresponding metrics and dashboards
- Lead or contribute to high-impact Global Development cross-functional/functional initiatives of strategic importance to the business
- Lead and manage team of budget planners to deliver high quality budget forecasting and accurate reporting of spend against Biosimilars Business Unit (BBU) contracts and associated budgets to leaders.
- Lead in the identification, evaluation and selection of new suppliers for Biosimilars outsourcing needs and in partnership with Global Strategic Sourcing
- Primary point of contact for BBU CRO strategic partnerships responsible for relationship management, performance oversight, and monitoring contracts throughout the service period and amending, including liaising and negotiating with suppliers and internal customers
- Partner with other functions such as Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing, Buying Center, Accounts Payable, and external suppliers to execute on organizational priorities
- Manage the CRO operations management team (OMT) governance
- Provide oversight for select business processes such as centralized BBU PO processing and management and invoice issue escalation
- Support the BBU business operations including overseeing Purchase Order (PO) execution in compliance with financial and budgetary procedures, Analytical reference product procurement, and training
- Represent Global Development Biosimilars and provide subject matter expertise to cross-functional initiatives
- Manage and mentor a team of staff to deliver on business operations, global development operations, and organizational initiatives
- Manage and execute any other emerging tasks requested by the VP

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 4 years’ experience in biopharma setting
OR
Master's degree and 8 years’ experience in biopharma setting
OR
Bachelor's degree and 10 years’ experience in biopharma setting
Preferred Qualifications
·MBA., PhD, PharmD, or Master’s Degree with 10 years’ work experience in life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably with 4 or more years of experience in R&D
·Proven leader who has experience leading cross-functional teams and complex programs related to the biopharmaceutical industry
·Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution
·Excellent cross-functional communication skills and a decisive yet affiliative leadership style to drive results while maintaining relationships
·Strong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles and individuals at different levels in organization
·Demonstrated organization management experience including developing and mentoring staff

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
