Business Analyst Information Services: Order to Cash

What you will do

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Business Analyst for Order to Cash space to develop solutions for Global Supply Chain organization. You will be part of Operations Digital, Technology & Innovation (OPS DTI) team. We are in the middle of our journey to implement S/4 HANA along with Transportation Management System (SAP S/4) and SAP EWM as part of advancing strategic capabilities within Amgen’s Supply Chain to enable digitalization, faster decision making & speed to/in market. This role will be critical in our path of transformation to have best in class solutions in Order to Cash space leveraging a portfolio of systems like Rapid Response/Kinaxis, ERP/SAP, SAP TM Module, Data Lake, Control Tower, and Project44.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discussions with business and IS stakeholders.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and elicit information from them in order to understand true business needs.
  • Lead and support the design, analysis, and estimation of various projects and enhancements.
  • Work closely with the business to understand issues and needs, identify and document business requirements as user stories clearly, and help the team identify solutions that address business problems.
  • Be the functional lead that owns the end-to-end solution from the IS side.
  • Understand the requirement and impact to business in order to identify the right priorities.
  • Understand and be able to review the solution and validate that it meets the requirements from the business.
  • Drive and manage business initiatives.
  • Understand technology strategy and help develop business case alternatives that anticipate the future direction of the business.
  • Work with the product team to facilitate project and enhancement assessments of feasibility, impact, and effort required to implement changes in response to business requirements.
  • Exhibit business process expertise in overall Order to Cash, including Transportation and Warehouse Management.
  • Utilize AI to solve business problems.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of information systems experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of information systems experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 8 years of information systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of information systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the following areas: business analysis, defining a business case, leading discussions with business and IS stakeholders, modeling requirements, validating solutions, project and product management, and creating and maintaining a backlog of user stories.
  • Knowledge in the following areas: SAP Sales and Distribution, master data concepts, and SAP Warehouse Management System.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, virtual team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators and influence executive leaders.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative cross-functional environments (e.g., SAFe) and managing large and sophisticated programs.
  • Technical curiosity with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize a diverse workload to meet deadlines and collaboration expectations.
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals.
  • Technical knowledge as it relates to digital transformation at the enterprise level, including mergers and acquisitions.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
