In this crucial position, you will spearhead the strategic direction, deployment, and enhancement of client-facing technologies and information systems that boost operational efficiency, enable data-informed decisions, and foster digital transformation. This role guarantees that our technology solutions not only support and enhance business efficiency but also ensure robust security, compliance, and scalability. Through pioneering innovation and fostering collaborative efforts, you will play a key role in redefining the client experience, making it more integrated, efficient, and focused on business needs.

  • Make informed decisions regarding technology investments, including headcount allocation and architecture, in alignment with overarching enterprise technology and platform priorities

  • Lead the performance and delivery management of the demand, portfolio, and digital product teams, serving as the primary point of contact for the R&D business unit

  • Hold ultimate responsibility for the value delivery and transformational impact of technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives

  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of all technology systems within the business unit

  • Lead transformation initiatives aimed at achieving financial and strategic objectives, such as productivity improvements and cost savings

  • Define the long-term technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to the SAFe framework

  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for interactions and integrations with broader Data, AI, and Cybersecurity organizations, partnering to deliver valuable technology solutions for the business unit

  • Engage with senior R&D executives (EVP, SVP, VP), internal support units and other key stakeholders to integrate technology strategy with overall organizational goals and ensure comprehensive alignment

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with third-party vendors, industry experts, and leading organizations to foster innovation and enhance value delivery

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree & 7 years of technology experience OR

  • Master’s degree & 10 years of technology experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of technology experience AND

  • 7 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12+ years in technology leadership, with at least 5 years working with executive level leaders to implement technology solutions

  • Ability to define and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals, driving digital transformation and innovation

  • Experience working with and delivering technology solutions for an R&D based function (Global Clinical, Research, Development Medical, etc.)

  • Deep knowledge of client facing technology, product team management and experience with modern architecture, integration, and scalability

  • Ability to collaborate with C-suite executives, business leaders, and technology teams to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives

  • Understanding of emerging technologies (AI, automation, data analytics, cybersecurity) and their application in enterprise environments

  • Experience driving technology adoption, process improvements, and cultural transformation within large organizations
