New Product Launch Intern – Amgen Rare Disease Portfolio

As a New Product Launch Intern for Amgen’s Rare Disease Portfolio, you will support critical commercial initiatives in the therapeutic area of small population-designated diseases. Over the course of a comprehensive 6-month internship, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of business, including strategic planning, product marketing, campaign support, content creation, and presentation preparation, with a primary focus on impacting the launch of new rare disease products in Taiwan. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on delivering value to patients and shaping the future of healthcare in Taiwan.

Assignments:

• Extract and synthesize actionable insights gathered from physician field visits and comprehensive market research to support brand planning and launch readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical, regulatory, value, access & policy, and public affairs, to ensure a streamless launch readiness.
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies that effectively communicate the treatment positioning and value proposition of new launch products to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of successful disease awareness campaigns, providing recommendations to optimize media campaign strategies and initiatives for improved outcomes.
• Showcase your work through a short presentation on a topic related to the assigned therapeutic area. Additionally, deliver a final presentation to senior leadership at the conclusion of your internship.

Qualifications

We are looking for an innovative thinker with passion in pharmaceutical industry, especially in rare disease sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, learning agility and ability to translate finding into actionable insight and develop business strategies.

• Prior internship or industry experience is a plus.
• Year 4 college student or above pursuing a Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Pharmacy, Life Science, Business Administration, Marketing or Economics.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, paired with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse teams and adapt quickly to new challenges and environments.
• Passionate about the pharmaceutical and rare disease fields, with a strong curiosity for new concepts and an innovative mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Able to commit to a 6-month internship, with the first two months full-time and the following four months at 12 hours per week
