Postdoctoral Fellow

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will advance foundational science to better understand the mechanisms underlying cardiometabolic conditions. Your research will begin with the study of human genetics and integrate multiomic approaches in mouse models to explore cardiovascular biology. You will investigate gene regulation in cellular systems to uncover pathways that drive these complex traits.

This is an academic-style role focused on publishing impactful research but grounded in a translational mission: to generate biological insights that inform the development of future therapeutics. The Cardiometabolic Disorders group is dedicated to uncovering mechanisms that support target identification and validation, while also enabling the development of therapeutic molecules. As part of this team, you will engage with scientists across research functions and gain meaningful exposure to the breadth of expertise that supports drug discovery—from early biology to molecule design. The goal of this work is to generate novel insights that will lead to high-impact publications and contribute to the scientific community. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful science while gaining insight into the processes that translate research into new therapies.

  • Conduct research as part of the Cardiometabolic Disorders group

  • Generate novel insights to support drug discovery

  • Author publications contributing to the science community, potentially impacting lives

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Postdoctoral Fellow we seek is a professional with these qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline with research experience spanning in vivo experimentation and molecular or cellular biology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with in vivo experimentation, including mouse models relevant to human disease

  • Familiarity with omics-based approaches (e.g., single cell and spatial transcriptomics, genomics, or proteomics), preferably with experience in the computational analysis and interpretation of these data

  • Experience working with disease models to investigate underlying mechanisms or evaluate therapeutic hypotheses

  • Proficiency in cell culture systems, including transfection and gene expression studies

  • Hands-on experience with gene editing and functional genomic studies

  • Strong scientific curiosity, independence in experimental design and interpretation, and a track record of productivity through publications or presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and drive scientific inquiry with independence and initiative

What you can expect from us

As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. From our competitive benefits to our collaborative culture, we’ll support your journey every step of the way.
