What you will do
Accountabilities
The Corporate Affairs Manager for the JAPAC region will work directly with the CA Senior Director for the JAPAC region to deliver impactful strategic planning for the function and corporate affairs efforts that drive business impact across the region.
The role requires a highly organized, collaborative, and creative individual with strong writing and project management skills, who can operate independently and build effective relationships with colleagues across markets and at the global level.
Responsibilities:
- Implement insights-driven strategic communications plan inclusive of employee engagement and thought leadership opportunities, from planning and project management through to tactical execution.
- Create dynamic and engaging messaging and multimedia content for internal and external events/channels, social media, and earned media.
- Modernize communications, incorporating data and analytics to measure impact.
- Partner to shape and deliver efforts that support Amgen’s positioning on key health policy and patient advocacy topics across JAPAC.
- Partner with global Corporate Affairs to align and amplify regional storytelling.
- Support planning and execution of JAPAC Corporate Affairs priorities, through regular touchpoints, trainings, and best practice sharing sessions.
- Manage agency partners and vendors, including budget oversight, to deliver impactful Corporate Affairs initiatives.

What we expect of you
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in PR / communications, with 3 or more years of experience in staff engagement, event planning and/or internal communications.
- Highly organized and efficient.
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to understand business challenges and develop actionable programs.
- Experience creating and implementing strategic communication programs for a complex, matrixed organization.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to navigate a matrixed and dynamic environment and deal with rapidly changing priorities.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to distil complex issues into simple messages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter.
- Demonstrated experience using AI, social media and digital collaboration tools for professional communication.
- Experience in developing creative content in various forms including video, written, PowerPoint, digital and social media assets.
