What you will do

The job holder will lead the Bone & Inflammation (B&I) Business Unit in China affiliate.

As a key member of the China Leadership Team, the role requires close collaboration with both local and global leaders. The job holder is responsible for owning and driving the business strategy of B&I BU. He/She has the authority and accountability to make strategic decisions that align with the overall goals of the company, analyzing the market, identifies opportunities, sets performance targets, and determines how the unit will achieve its objectives. Essentially, he/she takes ownership of the BU's strategy and work towards its successful implementation. The detailed responsibilities including:

  • Develop and implement the BU's strategic plan in alignment with the China affiliate's overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify the market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats to formulate effective strategies for business growth and market expansion.
  • Set clear performance targets and KPIs to drive the achievement of financial and operational objectives.
  • Take ownership of the BU's financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost management.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, regularly monitor financial metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze financial reports and market data to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on revenue generation opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to drive market penetration and expansion.
  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products or services, ensuring successful product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and industry organizations.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all aspects of the business unit's operations. Drive process improvements, implement best practices, and monitor operational metrics to maximize productivity and resource utilization.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Foster a high-performance culture in the BU with almost 300 employees, promoting collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Set performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and identify training and development needs to build a skilled and motivated workforce.

What we expect of you

Qualifications

·The successful candidate holds at least a university degree.

·Additionally the skillset was formed by 10+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience with a positive track record of leadership experience for at least a medium-sized group of direct reports, the responsibility for a substantial share of the local business as well as operating experience as a MT member.

·Experiences in local marketing & sales, with market and legal knowledge

·Both Chinese and English languages skills are mandatory.

·Demonstrates ability to explain and clarify even the most complex problems so that others can understand and contribute to solving problems
