Job Summary:Being responsible for setting the vision, leading the strategic direction, commercial execution, and operational excellence of the oncology portfolio. This role involves developing and implementing growth strategies, ensuring successful market access, and driving sales and marketing efforts to maximize product adoption and patient impact. The BUD – Hema & Onco will lead a business unit in collaboration with cross-functional team, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards while achieving revenue and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive oncology business vision & strategy to drive market leadership.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and market access opportunities within oncology.
  • Lead the planning and execution of launch strategies for new oncology products.
  • Establish short-term and long-term business objectives in alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Commercial & Marketing Execution:
    • Develop and oversee the execution of oncology-specific marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning.
    • Implement targeted customer engagement initiatives, including omnichannel and digital marketing approaches.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs to integrate scientific insights and real-world evidence into marketing strategies.
  • Ensure the effective launch and lifecycle management of oncology products.
  • Sales & Customer Engagement:
    • Lead and support the oncology salesforce, ensuring effective engagement with oncologists, hematologists, and key stakeholders.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjust strategies, and drive execution to exceed targets.
    • Develop strong relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), hospital decision-makers, and oncology networks.
  • Oversee the development of scientific and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with market needs.

Market Access & Pricing Strategy:

  • Collaborate with Market Access teams to come up with the best pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders including payers, regulatory bodies, and health institutions to shape the environment and to ensure broad access to oncology therapies.
  • Ensure the execution of value-based pricing models and evidence-driven access strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing oncology business unit team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the business unit.
  • Work closely with Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and R&D to align strategies with industry requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing training and development to enhance the team’s expertise in oncology.
  • Financial & P&L Management:
    • Own and manage the P&L of the oncology business unit, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
    • Oversee budget allocation, resource optimization, and financial forecasting.
    • Conduct business performance analyses, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiencies.

Regulatory & Compliance Adherence:

  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, oncology guidelines, and ethical marketing practices.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to navigate the approval and commercialization of oncology products.
  • Maintain alignment with global and local compliance policies, including industry-specific oncology standards.

Innovation & Digital Transformation:

  • Drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging AI, predictive analytics, and real-world evidence.
  • Implement digital marketing strategies to enhance HCP (Healthcare Professional) engagement.
  • Stay ahead of oncology advancements, clinical innovations, and treatment paradigms.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in oncology commercial leadership preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in P&L ownership, cross-functional leadership, and business strategy execution.
  • Oncology Expertise: Deep understanding of oncology market trends, treatment landscapes, and regulatory environments.
  • Market Access Knowledge: Experience in reimbursement strategies, payer engagement, and oncology pricing models.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.
  • Communication & Relationship Management: Ability to engage with oncologists, KOLs, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
