Job description

• The jobholder will be primarily accountable for enhancing and protecting Amgen’s corporate reputation, overseeing relevant brand related communication, managing external stakeholder relations, executing advocacy relations, driving employee’s communication, working in collaboration with local and regional cross functional teams to advance Amgen’s mission to serve patients.

Key responsibilities

• Implement product communications planning and execution including multi-channel execution of campaigns in support of disease awareness campaigns

• Execute internal communications to enhance employee engagement by exploring interactive communications platforms

• Develop strategies for advocacy engagement and develop tools and programs for advocacy relations activities by engaging external stakeholders

• Identify top patient advocacy groups and partnership programs at local level

• Manage PR agency in line with employee communications, product brand communications and corporate reputation requirements.

• Ensure alignment of all activities with relevant cross-functional team

• Align and coordinate activities with compliance/legal team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience in Corporate Affairs & Advocacy Relations (external affairs)

• Previous experience working in an international communications agency or in-house Corporate Affairs (Communications) Department, specifically on corporate communications and/or healthcare

• Relevant experience and proven track record in corporate affairs and advocacy relations, being required to have work experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare

• Strong understanding of Corporate Affairs customers’ requirements, issues and needs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in English

• Compliance and legal parameters for working with external customers
