At Amgen, the Marketing Associate Director at Amgen leads the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans and activities. They coordinate with other departments, analyze market trends and consumer behavior, and align marketing efforts with the overall company goals.

What you will do

The TEZSPIRE Associate Director of Marketing will serve as the strategic engine behind Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) excellence, collaborating with our co-promote partners at AstraZeneca in leading end-to-end campaign activation, driving launch readiness, and translating performance into measurable business impact. This leader will operate at the intersection of strategy, creativity, analytics, and execution to ensure every campaign not only launches successfully—but performs powerfully.

Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic DTC Leadership

  • Shape and champion the DTC vision, ensuring strategy is clearly articulated, seamlessly executed, and fully aligned to brand and franchise priorities.
  • Anticipate evolving brand needs and build campaigns that are differentiated, insight-driven, and tailored to maximize impact across channels.
  • Serve as the central DTC connector and strategic lead across Amgen and AZ, ensuring alignment, clarity, and momentum.

Cross-Functional & Media Leadership

  • Partner across functions and with AZ counterparts to elevate creative quality, media precision, and performance rigor.
  • Drive best-in-class media strategy, execution, measurement frameworks, and KPI governance.
  • Proactively identify risks, remove barriers, and course-correct in real time to maximize impact and ROI.

Performance Storytelling & Executive Influence

  • Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Deliver executive-ready insights that inform decisions, inspire confidence, and drive strategic alignment.
  • Elevate performance reporting from data recaps to forward-looking business recommendations.

Patient Access & Impact Acceleration

  • Act as the quarterback for patient access integration, ensuring access strategies are embedded early and amplified through DTC efforts.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to enhance access visibility and drive meaningful patient impact.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of Marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 5 years of Marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Marketing experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 12 years of Marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior marketing and/or agency experience in healthcare

• Experience creating marketing materials and taking them through internal review

• Knowledge of the market research process and principles

• Expertise working across multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors

• Strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills

• Team-oriented attitude and excellent collaboration skills

• Experienced in managing tactics through the regulatory approval process

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Professional, proactive demeanor

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Requires approximately 15-20% travel
