What you will do
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr Associate, Field Operations, Territory Design and Deployment (TD&D) to join our Field Effectiveness team. This role is critical in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the field force, with primary accountability for territory design, alignment, and operational support. The Senior Associate will contribute to field deployment strategies, deliver high-quality analyses, and ensure alignment decisions are data-driven, accurate, and timely.
This position reports to the Manager, Field Operations, Territory Design and Deployment and will be responsible for the following (across all of Amgen’s US Business Units):
Territory Design & Alignment
- Support the design, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of field territories to ensure balanced opportunities and alignment with business goals
- Apply advanced analytics, Javelin Territory Designer (JTD), and market data to evaluate potential territory adjustments
- Partner with Field Effectiveness and Sales Operations to implement alignment strategies in response to market dynamics, product launches, and business needs
Data & Performance Insights
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support territory alignment and deployment recommendations
- Develop and deliver accurate reporting on field structure and performance metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to building scalable operational practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Field Effectiveness and Sales Leadership to ensure alignment initiatives meet operational requirements and timelines
- Communicate alignment updates, changes, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
- Provide analytical and operational support to cross-functional teams in support of territory deployment projects

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales operations, field force effectiveness, or consulting within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry
- OR Master’s degree and 3 years of in sales operations, field force effectiveness, or consulting experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of in sales operations, field force effectiveness, or consulting experience
- University Degree in commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, healthcare or related field.
- Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel; demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, or supporting field alignment project
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
- Detail-oriented; high attention to accuracy in data, reporting, and territory deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Coordination: Familiarity with project coordination in support of large-scale alignment initiatives
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Independence: Excels in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and has an exceptional work ethic
- Adaptability: Adaptability and initiative to learn new tools, systems, and processes quickly
