Supply Chain Mgr – Global Distribution Hub JAPAC

What you will do

In this vital role, you will report to the GDH JAPAC Director and play a key role in driving a culture of continuous improvement across the JAPAC region. You will support the Global Distribution Hub’s strategic priorities through effective performance management, budget oversight, and process optimization. You will also represent JAPAC in global governance forums, ensuring regional needs are reflected in global supply chain initiatives.

This position replaces a colleague who held the role for three years and will be based in Lisbon, working closely with teams in Asia, the US, and the Netherlands. The work schedule allows for overlap with Asia mornings and US afternoons, enabling strong global collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support JAPAC distribution operations within the global network, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Represent the hub in global governance forums and monthly performance meetings (e.g., JPI), presenting KPIs and driving action plans.
  • Lead performance management through key metrics such as delivery time, temperature control, deviations, and service levels.
  • Drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives, fostering innovation and collaboration across the team.
  • Manage budget submissions and reporting cycles in partnership with Finance, including latest estimates and long-range planning.
  • Oversee the SOP portfolio for JAPAC: updates, compliance, and process ownership.
  • Manage training assignments via LMS for both the hub team and the broader JAPAC Supply Chain organization.
  • Actively contribute to global supply chain design initiatives, ensuring JAPAC’s operational needs are considered.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, requiring strong communication, stakeholder engagement, assertiveness, and confidence.

Note: Up to 25%, with potential travel to Singapore, Breda, and regular collaboration with teams in the Netherlands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain
    OR
  • Associate degree and 10 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain environments (GxP, GMP, GDP)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, change management)
  • Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems, Rapid Response, and Anaplan
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
  • Experience in global supply chain operations across international settings
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and assertiveness in representing the hub in global forums
