WHAT YOU WILL DO

Role Description:

The Senior Associate Software Engineer in this operations-focused role is primarily responsible for the stability, availability, and continuous improvement of Amgen’s Global CRM system. This position ensures seamless daily operations, proactive and automated monitoring, and incident resolution across critical applications. You will collaborate with business partners, product teams, and technical experts to support system reliability, streamline processes, and enable business continuity.

You will be part of a team specifically focusing on Global CRM and Marketing capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and smooth functioning of critical platforms.

  • Monitor system health, identify issues proactively, and coordinate timely resolution of incidents.

  • Manage system configurations, integrations, and operational workflows to meet business requirements.

  • Support release and change management processes using DevOps toolsets (e.g., Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado).

  • Partner with business teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.

  • Maintain operational documentation, including process runbooks, system configurations, and support guidelines.

  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and compliance-related activities.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and seamless flow between integrated systems.

  • Contribute to automation initiatives that improve monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize CRM and Marketing operations globally.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree with 3–4 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • Strong experience managing and supporting platforms, ideally Veeva CRM and Salesforce.

  • Hands-on knowledge of system configuration, release management, and incident resolution.

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Copado.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with test automation and monitoring tools.

  • Certifications in Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado, and/or SAFe.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams

  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
