WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are seeking a Senior Associate Tax to support the preparation and coordination of Amgen’s global transfer pricing documentation. This role will focus primarily on preparing Amgen’s annual Transfer Pricing Master File and local-country transfer pricing documentation, supporting AI-enabled documentation tools, and contributing to process improvements.
The Senior Tax Associate will support Amgen’s global transfer pricing documentation process through preparation of recurring documentation, data collection, template maintenance, deadline tracking, and coordination with internal teams and external advisors. This role will also play an important part in supporting overall tax compliance and audit readiness.
The position offers strong development potential, with the opportunity to grow into a subject matter expert within the global transfer pricing function.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing Amgen's annual OECD Master File, U.S. and non-U.S. transfer pricing documentation requirements (including the U.S. Section 6662 documentation package), and assigned local-country transfer pricing documentation files.
Support data collection, statutory financial data review, and financial analyses related to intercompany transactions.
Assist with functional analysis and economic analysis updates under Manager supervision, including documenting interviews, refreshing entity profiles, and updating standardized report language.
Coordinate with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to gather required documentation inputs and develop an understanding of Amgen's business operations, value drivers, and intercompany activities.
Assist in maintaining transfer pricing documentation templates and tracking deadlines.
Perform consistency checks across reports, intercompany agreements, financial data, and approved templates.
Assist in coordinating with external advisors and reviewing advisor deliverables for assigned jurisdictions.
Assist with technology-enabled documentation tools, template testing, data management activities, and process improvement initiatives designed to enhance documentation quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Support responses to tax authority inquiries and transfer pricing audits by gathering documentation and preparing supporting files.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Preferred:
Exposure to transfer pricing, international tax, or multinational tax compliance activities.
Experience in a multinational enterprise, public accounting firm, or shared services environment.
Exposure to life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly intellectual property-driven industries.
Familiarity with data analytics, automation tools, AI-assisted solutions, or technology-enabled documentation processes.
