Scientific Knowledge & Learning Manager

What you will do

In this vital role, you will be translating complex scientific and clinical information into clear, engaging learning experiences that enhance protocol understanding, trial execution, and scientific fluency across Amgen’s development organization and its external partners.

This role supports the creation and delivery of learning tied to study milestones, therapeutic insights, and operational excellence, while ensuring consistency, clarity, and scientific integrity.

  • Develop and deliver learning solutions focused on study rationale, disease state, and protocol design in collaboration with study teams and subject matter experts.
  • Translate complex clinical concepts into role-relevant, practical learning for internal teams and functional service providers (FSPs).
  • Tailor learning solutions (e.g. live sessions, office hours, learning strategy) to different study phases, geographies, and learner audiences.
  • Ensure learning solutions reflect current protocols, amendments, safety signals, and emerging data.
  • Execute learning plans for priority trials and assets in coordination with the Associate Director.
  • Support site-facing readiness efforts by aligning learning with startup milestones and operational risk points.
  • Collaborate with partners to localize or adapt learning solutions as needed for regional rollout or function-specific learning.
  • Gather and interpret feedback to improve clarity, engagement, and impact of learning solutions.
  • Ensure scientific and operational accuracy, and maintain version control for all resources.
  • Monitor engagement, completion, and understanding to continuously optimize learning outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between the learning function and clinical, regulatory, and operational teams.
  • Partner closely with global development functions, regional teams, and CRAs to ensure aligned content delivery.
  • Stay informed of changes in trial strategy, protocol design, or learning systems that may affect scientific enablement.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The ideal candidate brings a blend of scientific literacy, learner-first thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience of clinical and/or scientific affairs experience.
  • Experience with modular, interactive, or scenario-based learning.
  • Understanding of clinical development processes and cross-functional study operations.
  • Ability to convert technical and scientific information into engaging, learner-centered materials.
  • Proactive mindset, team spirit, attention to detail, and ability to work across time zones.
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency in English (oral & written)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting global clinical trials or scientific education in complex environments.
  • Experience in clinical research, clinical operations, medical affairs or scientific training.
