WHAT YOU WILL DO

Amgen’s Decision Sciences team of Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) department is looking for an Analytics professional who possesses excellent communication skills, has the ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, and is able to translate analytical outputs into meaningful recommendations for these business partners.

As a Manager, Investment Analytics within the Commercial Data & Analytics (CD&A) organization, you will lead the development, and operationalization of Amgen’s marketing data clean room capabilities to enable privacy-safe, compliant, and advanced data collaboration across internal and external partners. This role will drive data integration, audience analytics, measurement frameworks, and activation insights to optimize marketing effectiveness and improve patient impact.

This person will serve as the technical lead for clean room initiatives, partnering closely with Marketing, Media, Agency, and external platform partners (e.g., publishers, walled gardens, data providers). This individual will combine strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management to unlock high-value, privacy-centric insights.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Execute the roadmap for Marketing Data Clean Room capabilities aligned to commercial strategy and privacy requirements.
  • Oversee integration of first-party, third-party, and partner data into clean room environments.
  • Lead and mentor analysts and data scientists supporting clean room initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality, identity resolution accuracy, and proper audience matching methodologies.
  • Design and oversee advanced analytics within clean room environments including Audience insights and segmentation, Incrementality testing and lift analysis, Cross-channel measurement, and Media effectiveness and ROI analysis
  • Partner with Marketing, Media, Finance, and Brand teams to prioritize and execute measurement and optimization initiatives.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for clean room use cases and workflows.
  • Ensure documentation, reproducibility, and scalability of analytical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and findings effectively to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in web analytics, data analytics measurement, or
  • A similar technical role.
  • OR Master’s degree and 5 years of experience in a quantitative field.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in a quantitative field.
  • University Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, healthcare or related field.
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization/planning skills and talent for simultaneously managing multiple large and complex projects.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders, business partners and IS resources to drive analytic projects end-to-end.
  • A proven track record of interpreting and communicating analytical insights to non-technical & technical partners and stakeholders using clear and concise language. 
  • Technical proficiency with strong logical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for learning and staying on top of current developments in advanced analytics.
  • Multi Touch Attribution, Media Analytics, Audience Analytics experience.
  • Expertise in using analytic tools such as Excel, R, Python, Tableau.
  • Experience with design and measurement of marketing experiments.
  • Expertise in event level data (ads exposure, demographic data, claims, web visits)
  • Experience working with large datasets, experience working with distributed computing tools (Databricks, PySpark).
