What you will do

The Commercial Analytics team at Amgen plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership, offering data-backed insights crucial for driving commercial success. As a Commercial Analytics Senior Associate, you will assist in insights generation by integrating multitude of secondary data sources and engaging several Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) colleagues to develop an understanding of brand performance and provide tactical recommendations to drive it.

You, as our Commercial Analytics Sr. Associate, plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership, offering data-backed insights crucial for driving commercial success and stakeholder management. You will contribute to the global inline/pipeline assets, executing and participate in discussions with global brand leads.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the design and execution of secondary data analytics to support strategic decision-making by helping implement solutions, tracking progress, and coordinating results readout.
  • Support insights generation in the integration of secondary data sources and collaborate with CD&A colleagues to understand brand performance.
  • Build relationships with global brand leads and key stakeholders, while contributing to discussions with global brand leads and executing tasks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to help synthesize findings, develop recommendations, and articulate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support senior leadership and brand teams through secondary data analytics and performance management.
  • Provide analysis using complex data sources including HCP and Account-level Demand data, Claims data, Electronic Medical Records data, Specialty Pharmacy data, etc. to generate a holistic, objective, and detailed understanding of the brand
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to prioritize business needs and enable effective execution of analytics.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the CD&A team's capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, and data sources.
  • Collaborate with the broader CD&A organization to integrate comprehensive insights and analytics.

What we expect of you

Our ideal candidate is a team player with customer focus. He/she is problem solving and result oriented and has time and process management skills and can compile data.

Proven experience and skills needed:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech sales & marketing operations, finance and/or analytics and reporting experience
  • OR Master’s degree and 3 years of sales & marketing operations, finance and/or analytics experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of analytics sales & marketing operations, finance and/or analytics experience
  • University Degree in commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, healthcare or related field.
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint knowledge

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with technologies and applications, and hands-on experience to analyze, synthesize, and integrate various secondary data
  • Knowledge in data, analytics, research, and/or dashboarding & reporting approach
  • Capable to identify & define business problem, and address through data, analytics, and research
  • Proficient analysis and project management skills to turn unstructured business issues into action plans that result in meaningful strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Ability to drive implementation to enhance methodologies and standard processes
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills, with ability to explain complex concepts verbally or visually via PowerPoint
  • Consistently engage and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team to shape brand strategy and understand risks and opportunities
  • Demonstrates a service-minded attitude.
