About the team:

Our Global Commercial and Operation Technology team is located at Amgen Capability Center in Lisbon, Portugal (ACCP) and overtime will be hometo over 300 multi-national and multi-cultural employees, representing a broad range of cross functional capabilities, including Technology, AI&D, Commercial, General and Administrative and many more functional areas.

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions.

You will be part of a product team specifically focusing on Global Value & Access capabilities for pricing governance and brand planning, having Salesforce.com as core architecture.

We are looking for:

  • An all-round developer with extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce products and who is able to oversee both business and technical processes and implementations.

  • Experience with integrations, automations and AI is a plus.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Design, develop, and implement functionalities and enhancements across Salesforce applications.

  • Own user stories through configuration and/or code, from design to release.

  • Create and maintain documentation and uphold quality standards

  • Analyze requirements (functional and technical) and translate them into scalable solution designs and configurations.

  • Use CI/CD pipelines (Copado) and automation as part of day-to-day development.

  • Uphold code quality via reviews, standards, and meaningful test coverage.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience and certifications in SalesForce products (e.g. Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, OmniChannel).

  • Professional experience (typically 3–5+ years) designing and building software solutions using Salesforce

  • Strong hands-on skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce custom objects

  • Experience with DevOps/tooling such as Jira, Git, Copado (release management & CI/CD).

  • Experience using AI (e.g. AgentForce, ChatGPT, GitHub CoPilot)

  • Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe) and collaborating with product, business, and vendor teams.

  • Clear communicator able to switch between technical detail and plain business language.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills, and a high degree of initiative.
