WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Equipment Delivery Manager will join the Project Controls organization within Amgen Engineering and support equipment delivery workstreams across Amgen's global capital project portfolio. Reporting to the Associate Director – Strategic Equipment Delivery, this role will lead assigned equipment delivery workstreams, driving visibility, governance, coordination, and execution from early equipment planning through procurement, supplier management, documentation readiness, delivery, installation support, and project closeout.

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will:

  • Manage assigned equipment delivery workstreams across projects, equipment packages, suppliers, and global sites based on business needs.
  • Create, maintain, and oversee master equipment registers, package control views, and related tracking tools supporting assigned equipment delivery workstreams.
  • Lead the weekly equipment delivery operating cadence, including package reviews, supplier follow-up summaries, risk, issue and decision logs, escalation summaries, and leadership reporting.
  • Coordinate procurement and buyout readiness activities, including package strategy, supplier assumptions, quotation status, PR/PO readiness, open blockers, and readiness of input packages.
  • Coordinate supplier follow-up and progress tracking in partnership with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Strategic Sourcing, and supplier relationship channels.
  • Track design submittals and scope interface readiness, including vendor drawings, utility requirements, automation and controls interfaces, layout impacts, design comment resolution, and fabrication readiness.
  • Oversee supplier documentation readiness by tracking expected documentation, due dates, review status, overdue deliverables, rework requirements, and risks impacting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), CQV, turnover, and asset readiness.
  • Maintain equipment-specific cost, schedule, and risk visibility, including delivery milestone changes, cost growth indicators, supplier risks, freight and storage risks, change order triggers, and scope interface gaps.
  • Maintain disciplined project trackers, decision logs, package records, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance, traceability, schedule visibility, cost transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Capture package closeout lessons learned, including supplier performance, procurement readiness, documentation quality, cost and schedule performance, design interface issues, and improvement opportunities for future equipment delivery planning.
  • Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Project Management, CQV, suppliers, analytics, and digital teams to improve reporting, equipment intelligence, and standardized delivery processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, governance, delivery visibility, and execution across global capital projects.
