Sr. Associate Tech Engineering - Filling AML 14

What you will do

Let’s Do This. Let’s Change the World. In this vital role, you will provide technical engineering support for filling line operations, ensuring equipment reliability, compliance, and process optimization in a non-standard shift manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibration, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining adherence to corporate policies, industry standards, and FDA regulations in a NON STANDARD SHIFT operations facility. 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and restore manufacturing equipment in compliance with GMP, industry, and regulatory standards.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency.

  • Develop technical guides for repetitive tasks and provide training to support team development.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues (three-phase, single-phase, DC control circuits) while adhering to NFPA, OSHA, and safety protocols.

  • Support line and system owners in equipment modifications, CAPAs, work orders, and preventive maintenance activities.

  • Ensure utility, process maintenance, calibration, and technical cleaning systems comply with industry and regulatory standards.

  • Provide training and standardization to maintain consistent operating procedures across the team.

  • Assist with FDA and regulatory inspections, audits, and investigations of equipment issues.

  • Act as a Team Leader when needed, supporting shift coordination and daily maintenance operations.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Sr. Associate Tech Engineering professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications. 

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Manufacturing and/or Engineering Support experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 6 years of Manufacturing and/or Engineering Support experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Manufacturing and/or Engineering Support experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Drug Product formulation and/or aseptic filling manufacturing process

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering Technology.

  • Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in filling line technologies, including aseptic filling equipment, isolator technology, air handling systems, and visual inspection systems (e.g., Keyence).

  • Hands-on experience in instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, automation, and manufacturing operations.

  • Strong ability to assess, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, motor control systems (SCR, VFDs, servo, and stepper motors).

  • Self-motivated with a passion for automation, control systems, and emerging technology trends.

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English and Spanish.

  • Availability to work non-standard shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
