PROCESS DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST (DEVICES & PACKAGING)
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead process innovation in packaging by applying scientific expertise, validation strategies, and tools to support new product introductions and sustainable packaging solutions. You will characterize, validate, transfer, and qualify new and existing products in the packaging environment, implement new devices and configurations. You'll collaborate across teams to optimize systems, drive continuous improvement, and help shape the future of packaging through data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support new product introductions, and transfers between existing and new packaging lines.
- Stay ahead of with industry trends in devices and packaging equipment/processes, artificial intelligence, applying them to process improvements.
- Perform and support characterization, validation and process qualifications of new and existing products configurations, including new devices and existing devices.
- Collaborate across teams (manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, validation) to solve technical problems.
- Author and review protocols, experiments, scientific technical reports, regulatory documents, and/or patents.
- Promote continuous improvement through lean six sigma and operational excellence methodologies.
- Contribute to a safe working environment, adhering to environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Mentor and share expertise to develop teammates and drive innovation in packaging processes.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Master’s degree and 2 years of Process Development and/or Technical Services experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Process Development and/or Technical Services experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic background in Life Sciences or Engineering.
- Hands-on strong experience in process characterization, including testing strategies, protocol design, technical report development, and risk assessment activities
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), technology transfer and process validation life cycle.
- Experience in Packaging Manufacturing processes and equipment (Devices, labeling, packaging materials, etc).
- Automation knowledge/skills are highly desired
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Artificial Intelligence, Statistical softwares).
